The City of Monrovia is located in the San Gabriel Valley approximately 15 miles Northeast of downtown LA.  Incorporated in 1887, Monrovia is a general-law city with a Council-Manager form of government, including a Mayor, four Council Members who are elected at-large, and a City Manager.  Population is approximately 37,000.
